Dragon Hat Pattern - The Possibilities
http://www.etsy.com/listing/96893757/crochet-pattern-dragon-crochet-hat
I just released this pattern last week and wanted to share some of the many dragon/dinosaur hats that I've made in the past. It is such a fun hat for so many ages and my four year old still gets a kick out of people doing double-takes when they see her riding her bike to the park with her own pink dragon.
Here goes a total photo bomb of dragon pics!

Leg Warmers with Lacing
I slightly adapted my Leg Warmers Pattern to include lacing up the back of the calf.
My etsy shop has the original pattern:
Every other row I added 2 chain 1 spaces that were 5 stitches apart (child size). I did a dc in the chain spaces in the opposite rows.
I then took a long piece of yarn and laced through the holes to get an idea of how long I would need my pink lacing to be. I used this yarn to gauge how many chains I should make so that it would be long enough to complete the lacing. After chaining, I slip stitched in the 2nd chain from the hook all the way down to last stitch. You could also use ribbon or braided yarn for the lacing. This is an easy way to adapt your leg warmers so they can match different outfits!

Custom "Owl Love You Forever" Cuddle Pillow
Just dropped off in the mail! Almost caught up on orders and then I can just focus on writing my patterns! I am itching to get my police hat written and listed!
So I modified the "Owl Love You Forever" Cuddle Pillow for a custom order.
Here is the pic of the nursery bedding:
And here are the owls:
The yarns I used:
Mama Owl's body - Lion Brand Homespun in Barley held together with I Love This Yarn Worsted Weight in Light Taupe
Mama Owl's wings - I Love This Yarn Worsted Weight in Medium Blue and Soft Blue
Baby Owl's body - Lion Brand Homespun in Pearl held together with Caron Simply Soft in Bone
Baby Owl's wings - I Love This Yarn Worsted Weight in Light Sage and the other yarn was scraps I had, but similiar to Caron Simply Soft in a pale green.
Beaks and Eyelashes - I Love This Yarn Worsted Weight in Coffee
Note: I also played around with the original pattern and made the Mama Owl larger than the original size in the pattern. I am more than happy to share that pattern with customers who purchase[d] my "Owl Love You Forever" Cuddle Pillow Pattern from my etsy shop!

Here is the little owl family I just finished this morning!
I used Lion Brand Homespun yarn held together with a strand of soft worsted weight yarn for the purple and pink owls. Love the soft texture and varigated coloring.
