Row 2- 2hdctog in first 2 st, hdc across until last 2 st, 2 hdctog in last 2 st. (26 hdc)
Row 3 to 9 - Repeat directions for Row 2 (You should have 12 hdc when completing Row 9)
Rows 10 to 18 - Hdc in each st. (12 hdc)
Row 19 - 2 hdc in first st, hdc across until last st, 2 hdc in last st
Row 20 to 29 - Repeat directions for Row 19
Row 30 - 3 hdc in first st, hdc across until last st, 3 hdc in last st.
Row 31 - 3 dc in last st, dc across, 3 dc in last st.
sc around entire over.
Sew on buttons in the middle of Rows 1. Close using larger stitches from Row 31 for button holes.
For a bunny tail, make a big pom pom and either sew on or tie onto the inside (that way the tail can be removed and diaper can be used without tail)

  1. Thanks for the free pattern! I purchased the matching hat pattern and made it for my sister who is giving it to a friend for a baby gift.

  2. Hey Brooke,
This may sound crazy, but would this fit a 4-6 month old?
